Our Mission

Music has the power to rejuvenate the mind, elevate us beyond our circumstances, and instill a passion so strong it can alter our choices. – Hannah Frantz, Director of Education

We have one mission…to create art shapers and music makers!

Private Music Instruction: Piano, Voice, and Organ

Great music teachers not only teach notes and timing but encourage a passion and love of the arts that will remain for a lifetime. Selecting the right teacher is critical to success. The skills of The Arts Academy faculty is unparalleled in SE Michigan. The facilities are exceptional and the equipment is the very best. Our students not only have fun learning but gain confidence by performing in our concert hall on a beautiful Steinway concert grand.

Group Music Instruction: Kindermusik, Music For Young Children, and Adult Classes

Music for Young Children is a Canadian based program for children age 3.5 and up that has had exceptional results. Kindermusik is available for newborns to age 5. It focuses on enhancing a child’s developmental skills through music while encouraging a parent-child bonding experience.

Recreational Music Making (ages 50+) is all about having fun! This low-stress environment will teach you the basics of playing the piano but without all the technicalities. You will learn to play the music you love in an ensemble setting and make valuable friendships along the way.

Art Classesimagesxhyk56et

Our art classes  run all year long. We offer a judgement free studio where students of all ages can express themselves creatively. Students create their own unique art work, receive inspiration and share ideas. You can enroll in a 4-week art class in a group setting or just with the teacher. The choice is yours!

Performing Opportunities

We believe that performing in front of an audience builds character and confidence. Many teachers at The Arts Academy offer annual student recitals in which their students perform in our recital hall on a beautiful Steinway concert grand. Our recital hall also hosts some of the finest jazz and classical concerts in the Metro-Detroit area. Students can be inspired by great musicians to dream big and push forward to reach their goals.
