People think you have to have talent to play an instrument, but all it takes is a will to learn. The desire to play is the only pre-requisite. We don't care about the final product as much as the joy found in the process along the way. In this low-stress environment, classmates encourage and support one another as they make music together. And when you're ready, you and your classmates can team up to form an ensemble. Four hands, six hands, eight hands...the sky is the limit! At the end of the year, you can show off your newly developed skills in the Recreational Music Making Recital.
Classes are divided up into three 13-week semesters. Classes occur on Tuesdays, from noon to 1:00pm and 1:00 to 2:00pm. There are 2 to 6 people per class, and no former piano experience is required.
Recreational Music Making is $295 per 13-week semester (roughly $22.69 per week). Materials are $15 per semester. There is also a $25 enrollment fee, payable to Steinway Piano Gallery, due within the first week of the class's start date.
